Protrusion and crowding, 14 Steps

I was always self conscious of my bottom lips not being the same on both sides

When I was 13 I had braces.

After my treatment my dentist installed a wire behind my bottom teeth and I had to wear a retainer for my top teeth. I wore it for a while but stopped wearing it like most teenagers do. My smile shifted a bit over time, even with the wire in place.

Fast forward a couple years and I was always self conscious of my bottom lips not being the same on both sides, my boyfriend told me I was crazy but I could clearly see it. I thought I needed lips injections or Botox or something to correct that but I never thought this was maybe because my bottom teeth were not totally rounded, they were a little square on the left side.

A couple months ago I got a modelling gig for Sequence32. I spoke to them about my smile and it should be quite easy to fix.

When I got my complete treatment I wore my first step right away, instant pressure, I remembered that feeling from when I was young.

Today I can say that my lips are truly equal on both sides, one less imperfection. Surprisingly wearing the aligners is not as bad as people might think, you get used to them quite quickly and I wore mine all day everyday and used an app called trayminder to get notifications every 2 weeks. After completing 2 steps I could already see a slight difference. I had a treatment of 11 steps, what was nice is that at the end of my 5 months treatment and  and had 3 additional sets of aligners to have a perfect result. I am incredibly happy with my experience and glad that today as a adult I know that I will keep wearing my retainers.
